Interscholastic Equestrian Association
Over the Oxer Equestrian is proud to participate in IEA each school year!
IEA is a non-profit affiliate program of the USEF, USHJA and IHSA, and was created to provide Educational and Horse Showing opportunities to Middle and High school students interested in Equestrian Athletics. This program allows riders the opportunity to participate in our sport as part of a team, and provides great affordability as riders do not need to have their own horses or tack to compete.
IEA is open to riders of all experience levels in Grades 4-12, Amateur riders age 21 & over, Coaches 21 & over, and more.
The IEA gives $1.5M in cash & Collegiate Scholarships each year, has National Youth board & leadership opportunities and access to clinics, college recruitment events, mentorship, volunteer opportunities & contests!
OTO participates in IEA Zone 1, Region 1 & 2 shows throughout the Fall/Winter Season, and works towards Zone 1 Regionals and Zones both as individuals and as a team.
Practices are held weekly on Over the Oxer lesson horses, and horse shows are held on Saturdays & Sundays during the season.
